Terms & Conditions
By completing a booking with Little Boots – Bonnyrigg, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before securing your child’s place.
1. Booking & Payment
• Places are non-transferable between sessions unless agreed in advance with Little Boots.
• Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
• Little Boots reserves the right to cancel sessions in the interest of child safety. In such cases, refunds or rescheduling will be offered promptly.
3. Health & Safety
• Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18+) at all times during the session unless the coach has been made aware before the start of the session. The accompanying adult is responsible for the supervision and behaviour of their child throughout.
• Any known medical conditions, allergies, or additional support needs must be disclosed at the time of booking.
• Children who are unwell (e.g. fever, vomiting, or contagious illness) should not attend. No refund will be given for absence due to illness.
4. Safeguarding
• All Little Boots coaches hold a valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certificate issued through Disclosure Scotland.
• Sessions are delivered in line with Scottish FA safeguarding guidelines and recommended adult-to-child supervision ratios for the relevant age group.
• Photography or video recording of your own child during sessions is permitted for personal use only. Recording, photographing, or streaming other people’s children without the express consent of their parent or guardian is strictly prohibited.
• Any safeguarding concerns should be reported to the session lead immediately. Little Boots has a designated Safeguarding Officer whose contact details are available on request.
• Little Boots operates a strict no-tolerance policy regarding any form of abuse, neglect, or inappropriate conduct toward children.
5. Liability
• Little Boots – Bonnyrigg holds public liability insurance through Morton Michel, covering toddler sports and activity classes.
• Little Boots accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury arising from failure to follow safety instructions provided by coaches.
• Little Boots accepts no liability for injury or adverse reaction arising from pre-existing medical conditions that have not been disclosed at the time of booking.
• Little Boots is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings brought to sessions.
• Participation in physical activity carries an inherent risk of minor injury. By booking, parents and guardians acknowledge this and accept responsibility for ensuring their child is fit to participate.
6. Behaviour
• Little Boots operates a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children and families.
• Aggressive, discriminatory, threatening, or persistently disruptive behaviour by adults or children will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the session without refund.
• Little Boots reserves the right to refuse future bookings to any individual whose behaviour is deemed harmful to the wellbeing of children, other parents, or coaches.
7. Photography & Marketing
• Little Boots may take photographs or video footage during sessions for use on social media channels and marketing materials.
• A separate, explicit consent form will be provided at registration for permission to use your child’s image. Participation in sessions does not constitute consent for marketing use of your child’s image.
• You may withdraw image consent at any time by contacting us in writing.
8. Data Protection
• Personal data collected during the booking process (including child and parent/guardian details) is held securely and used solely for the administration of Little Boots classes.
• Data is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us directly.
9. Changes to Sessions
• Little Boots reserves the right to change venues, session times, or coaches with reasonable advance notice to booked participants.
• Block booking programmes may occasionally be rescheduled due to public holidays, venue closures, or circumstances outside our control. Affected participants will be notified as early as possible.
10. Physical Contact & Coaching Assistance
• During sessions, coaches may need to provide gentle physical guidance to children as part of normal coaching activity. This may include demonstrating the correct position for kicking a ball, steadying a child during a balance exercise, or offering a supportive hand during movement activities.
• All physical contact by coaches is incidental, appropriate to a coaching context, and delivered in line with Scottish FA safeguarding guidelines and best practice for working with young children.
• Coaches will always work in sight of parents and guardians. Physical guidance will only be used where it is in the best interests of the child’s safety or development.
• By booking a place, parents and guardians consent to appropriate, incidental physical contact by a Little Boots coach in the coaching context described above.
• If you have any concerns, please speak to the session lead at any time. You may request that a coach does not physically guide your child, and we will accommodate this wherever possible.
11. Complaints Procedure
• Little Boots – Bonnyrigg is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and high-quality experience for all children and families. We take all concerns and complaints seriously.
• If you have a concern during a session, please speak to the session lead at the earliest opportunity. Many issues can be resolved quickly and informally on the day.
